| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after Ian Rank-Broadley, diademed and draped, occupying the central field of the rectangular flan. The legend ELIZABETH II appears across the upper field, with TOKELAU below it. The date 2014 is struck beneath the portrait, followed by a small rectangular inset element, and the denomination 2 DOLLARS appears near the lower field. The fineness and weight inscription Ag925 33,63g is struck along the lower margin flanked by mint marks. Decorative geometric diamond-pattern borders frame both lateral edges of the flan. |

| Reverse description | The entire rectangular field is occupied by an elaborately engraved design in the traditional Russian Khokhloma folk-art style, rendered in high relief against a polished background. A large stylised bird in flight is depicted amid densely interlacing floral and foliate scrollwork, including bold multi-petalled blossoms, buds, berries, and curling stems. A butterfly hovers near the upper right corner, adding further decorative complexity to the composition. The design faithfully reproduces the characteristic graphic vocabulary of Khokhloma painted woodwork, with deeply cut contours creating strong tonal contrast. There are no legends or inscriptions on the reverse. |
