Each character is boldly cast in raised relief within a plain, undecorated field, with no inner or outer rim rims beyond the raised border. The calligraphy is characteristic of Southern Song imperial coinage, exhibiting well-proportioned strokes typical of the Guangzong era (1190–1194). |
