| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse presents the four-character reign title legend 紹熙元寶 (Shaoxi Yuanbao) in kaishu (regular script), arranged in the conventional boustrophedon reading order — top, bottom, right, left — around a central square perforation. Each character is boldly cast in raised relief within a plain, undecorated field, with no inner or outer rim rims beyond the raised border. The calligraphy is characteristic of Southern Song imperial coinage, exhibiting well-proportioned strokes typical of the Guangzong era (1190–1194). |
