| Obverse description | Janiform female head facing, rendered in the archaic Greek style characteristic of Lampsakene bronze coinage of the fourth century BC. The two conjoined busts are presented frontally, with facial features rendered in low relief and now heavily obscured by dark green and brown patination. The flan is irregular and the strike slightly off-center, typical of hammered civic bronze issues of this period. The abbreviated ethnic inscription ΛAM appears in the field. |
