正面描述	Printed in purple-brown ink, the obverse carries an oval vignette at left of a seated woman in period dress shielding her eyes, flanked at center-top by an eagle in flight over an industrial landscape with factory and ships. A decorative starburst cartouche at upper right bears the numeral '15'. The issuer's name 'SUTTON & STEWART' and the promise 'PAY TO BEARER' appear in bold letterpress above the large ornate denomination legend 'FIFTEEN CENTS', with place and date 'Indiana, Pa., December 18th, 1862' at lower left and redemption condition at lower right, a small dog's head vignette centered at the bottom margin.

背面描述	Printed in red ink, the reverse is dominated by three circular cartouches each bearing the numeral '15', arranged left, center, and right, with the word 'CENTS' inscribed below the central cartouche. The central medallion contains a vignette of a standing female figure in military costume holding a flag, enclosed within a wreath of laurel branches. The obverse design is visible in blue-grey show-through behind the red overprint, giving a two-color layered effect.
