Reverse description Herm (ithyphallic terminal figure of Hermes) shown facing, depicted frontally in the field, flanked on either side by the divided ethnic inscription. The herm is rendered in characteristic archaic fashion with a bearded head atop a rectangular pillar. The letters Σ and A appear to the left and right of the device respectively, identifying the issuing city of Sestos. The coin's green patina and irregular flan edges are typical of small civic bronze issues from this period.
