| Reverse description | Central design depicts a stylized Olympic torch with a flame rising upward, set against a plain field. The five interlocked Olympic rings appear below the torch base, and three five-pointed stars are arranged above the flame. The curved legend ATLANTA flanks the left and the date 1996 flanks the right along the lower periphery, separated by a central dot. A beaded border encircles the entire design. |

| Additional information |
Mongolia's Olympic commemorative program in the 1990s was largely driven by foreign minting houses and private distributors rather than any domestic numismatic infrastructure — most issues from this period were struck in Austria or the Czech Republic and sold directly into the collector market without ever touching Mongolian soil. The Atlanta Games series sits squarely in that category.
Schön 167 is one of several denominations issued under the same program, all sharing the 1996 date regardless of actual striking date.
