| Reverse description | The reverse depicts the iconic skyline of Hong Kong harbour rendered in relief across the central field, evoking the city's distinctive urban and maritime character. A left-facing portrait bust of Tung Chee-hwa, the first Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, is positioned at the upper portion of the design. Chinese characters appear at the bottom of the field, referencing the political principle of reunification.
