| Mô tả mặt sau | Central design depicts the iconic sculptural group associated with the Santa Casa da Misericordia: a crowned and draped figure of Our Lady of Mercy standing in prayer, her mantle extended by two flanking angels in flight, sheltering a group of supplicants below including a noblewoman and a cloaked pilgrim with staff. The composition is rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished proof field. The legend SANTA CASA DA MISERICORDIA arcs across the upper periphery, with the founding date 1498 at lower left and the commemorative year 1998 at lower right, and the inscription LISBOA centered along the lower border, all separated by raised dots. |
