| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Guyana occupies the central field, depicting a crowned shield bearing a canje pheasant, three wavy lines representing the rivers, a water lily, and a sugar cane stalk, supported on either side by two jaguars rampant. The crest above the shield features a Amerindian headdress atop a helmet with decorative mantling. Three scrolled ribbons below the shield bear the national motto in the legend: ONE PEOPLE ONE NATION ONE DESTINY.
