| Descrizione del dritto | Facing bust of Sultan Ahmad Shah Qajar at center, wearing the traditional Qajar crown (kolah) adorned with a jeweled aigrette, set against an open field. Flanking the effigy on either side are sprays of laurel and oak leaves tied at the base. Arabic inscriptions arc around the upper field, citing the shah's full royal titles and the name of Iran, with the AH regnal and accession year numerals (۱۳۲۷ and ۱۳) appearing to the left and right of the bust. The solar Hijri date ۱۳۲۷ is repeated in the exergue. A dentilated border runs along the entire rim. |

Struck to commemorate the third anniversary of Ahmad Shah's reign, this issue appeared during one of the most unstable periods in Qajar history — British and Russian forces had only recently withdrawn from Iranian soil following the First World War, leaving the central government functionally bankrupt and politically hollowed out. Ahmad Shah himself was largely a figurehead by this point, with real power increasingly contested between tribal leaders, foreign creditors, and what would soon become Reza Khan's rising military faction.
The jubilee framing was largely ceremonial optimism. Within four years, the dynasty was finished.
