The solar Hijri date ۱۳۲۷ is repeated in the exergue. A dentilated border runs along the entire rim. |

Struck to commemorate the third anniversary of Ahmad Shah's reign, this issue appeared during one of the most unstable periods in Qajar history — British and Russian forces had only recently withdrawn from Iranian soil following the First World War, leaving the central government functionally bankrupt and politically hollowed out. Ahmad Shah himself was largely a figurehead by this point, with real power increasingly contested between tribal leaders, foreign creditors, and what would soon become Reza Khan's rising military faction.
The jubilee framing was largely ceremonial optimism. Within four years, the dynasty was finished.
