Reverse description The imperial lion-and-sun emblem of Qajar Iran occupies the central field: a lion passant to the right with a rising sun radiating from its back, surmounted by a Qajar imperial crown above. The device is framed by a wreath composed of olive branches on the left and oak branches on the right, tied at the base. In the lower exergual band, the denomination inscription in Arabic script reads 'یک هزار دینار' (one thousand dinars). A dentilated border runs along the entire rim.
