Obverse description Central field features the Polish state eagle displayed, with wings spread and head turned to dexter, rendered in high relief against a plain field. The eagle bears no crown, consistent with the People's Republic of Poland heraldic tradition. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA arcs around the upper periphery, while the denomination 100 ZŁ appears in large numerals at the base of the field, flanked by the abbreviated currency marks. The date 1973 is split across the lower field, to either side of the eagle's body, with the Warsaw Mint monogram MW below.
