Beschrijving voorzijde The national emblem of Kazakhstan — a shanyrak (the upper domed portion of a yurt) with crossed ornamental wings radiating outward, surmounted by a five-pointed star and flanked by mythical winged horses (tulepar) — occupies the upper central field. Traditional Kazakh scrollwork ornaments frame the design on either side. The denomination '100' appears in large numerals in the lower central field, with 'TEŃGE' inscribed beneath. A bilingual circular legend surrounds the design, reading '• QAZAQSTAN ULTTYQ BANKI •' in the upper arc and 'NATIONAL BANK OF KAZAKHSTAN' in the lower arc.

Aanvullende informatie

Issued to mark the 175th birth anniversary of Jambyl Jabayev, the Kazakh akim — an improvised oral poet in the tradition of the Kazakh steppe — who lived from 1846 to 1945 and became a celebrated, if heavily instrumentalized, figure under Soviet cultural policy. Soviet authorities promoted Jabayev as a model "people's poet," and his verses were translated and distributed across the USSR, though scholars have long debated how much of the published work was genuinely his versus shaped by Soviet editors. He died just weeks before the end of World War II, at a claimed age of nearly 99.
