Traditional Kazakh scrollwork ornaments frame the design on either side. The denomination '100' appears in large numerals in the lower central field, with 'TEŃGE' inscribed beneath. To the right of the portrait, an excerpt from one of his poems is inscribed in Kazakh Cyrillic script arranged in vertical lines, flanked by a decorative vertical rule with traditional Kazakh ornamental motifs. The numeral '175' and 'JYL' (meaning 'years') appear prominently to the right.
