备注

Glatz — now Kłodzko in Lower Silesia — was still firmly German in 1921, and this Sparkasse note belongs to the enormous wave of municipal Notgeld that flooded German commerce during the hyperinflationary spiral following the First World War. Local savings banks, not just town councils, issued their own emergency fractions because Reichsbank coins had effectively vanished from circulation through hoarding and metal export.

L. Schirmer was a local Glatz printer, not one of the major specialist Notgeld houses. That matters: the production quality and paper consistency across the series can be variable.
