| Opis rewersu | The dominant design element is the numeral 2012 set against a large black field, in which the zero is replaced by a stylised Mayan pyramid or temple gateway, through whose arch a vaulted interior or starry sky is visible. The entire field is underlaid with a pale orange-toned, fine-line underprint reproducing a Mayan ruler or deity in the manner of Classic Maya stele carving, distinguished by an elaborate feathered headdress.
