Opmerkingen

Iceland's 1986 banknote law triggered a full redesign of the series, with De La Rue producing the notes in London over a surprisingly extended run — P#54 examples dated 1994–1995 represent the tail end of that production cycle, by which point the 100 króna denomination was already losing ground to inflation-driven everyday use of higher values.

Kristín Þorkelsdóttir's involvement marked one of the few instances of an Icelandic national designer receiving primary credit on a De La Rue commission, rather than the work being produced entirely in-house by the London printer.
