| Obverse description | At centre, the coat of arms of Mali depicts a stylised shield featuring a fortified tower (representing the Great Mosque of Djenné), crossed bow and arrow, and rising sun rays, surmounted by a bird with outstretched wings in high relief. The legend 'REPUBLIQUE DU MALI' is inscribed along the upper edge, with the date '2022' below it. Two five-pointed stars flank the shield in the left and right fields.
