Obverse description	Three giant eland (Taurotragus derbianus) depicted in right-facing profile, their elongated spiral horns overlapping dynamically across the central field, rendered with fine engraved detail against a plain background suggestive of savanna grasses at the base. The engraver's signature G.B.L. BAZOR appears at the right inner field. The circular legend REPUBLIQUE POPULAIRE DU CONGO runs along the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering, with a small mint mark at the bottom of the field.
