| 表面の説明 | The Armenian National Coat of Arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield supported by an eagle to the left and a lion to the right, with a sword and an eagle's feather as additional supporters, and a ribbon of laurel at the base. The circular legend in Armenian script reads 'ՀԱՅԱՍՏANԻ ՀANRԱՊETOUTYOUN' (Republic of Armenia) around the upper periphery. The denomination '100 ԴՐԱՄ' and the date '1995' are inscribed in two lines below the coat of arms in the lower field. The design is executed in high relief against a mirror-polished proof field. |

Issued to mark the 50th anniversary of the United Nations, this coin was struck just three years after Armenia joined the organization in 1992 — itself a consequence of the Soviet dissolution the previous year. Armenia's admission came at a moment when the country was simultaneously fighting a war in Nagorno-Karabakh and managing a near-total economic blockade from Turkey and Azerbaijan.
