| Description du revers | The reverse commemorates the International Polar Year 2007–2008 and features a left-facing portrait bust of Norwegian explorer Fridtjof Nansen in the left portion of the field, rendered in high relief with fine detail on his features and fur-trimmed coat. To the right, a polar map grid forms the background, with a sailing vessel amid pack ice depicted in the lower right quadrant and a group of expedition figures visible near the base. At the center right, the colorized official International Polar Year logo — a stylized blue human figure circumscribed by a globe — is applied in enamel.
