| Obverse description | Typographically printed Notgeld note on cream paper with a pink guilloche underprint covering the entire field. The denomination "Hundert Millionen" is set in large blackletter script across the upper centre, with the numeral "100" flanking the word "Mark" in bold gothic type below. The heading "Notgeld." appears at the top with the serial number prefix and number to its right, beneath which a validity inscription in italic script names the Amtshauptmannschaft and Stadt Zittau. The lower portion carries a multi-line redemption text in italic letterpress, the issue date "Zittau, den 28. September 1923," two manuscript signatures under the designations "Der Bezirksverband der Amtshauptmannschaft" and "Der Stadtrat," and a list of authorised redemption banks. Anti-counterfeiting warnings are printed vertically in the left and right margins. |
