| Description de l’avers | A central vignette presents a panoramic view of the Summer Palace on Kunming Lake, Beijing, rendered in fine intaglio engraving with the iconic Tower of Buddhist Incense visible on the hillside. Flanking the central vignette on either side are large vertical guilloche panels bearing the denomination characters 拾圓 in Chinese script, with the branch designation 上海 (Shanghai) inscribed at the lower outer corners. The upper portion carries the bank title 中國銀行 (Bank of China) flanked by the serial number D918066 printed in red, with two manuscript signatures of the Governor and Manager appearing at the lower centre. |

| Description du revers | The reverse is printed predominantly in green intaglio on a multicoloured guilloche underprint, with an elaborate interlocking lathe-work border framing the entire design. At centre, a large monogram medallion bearing the interlaced letters "B of C" is flanked by two oval panels each containing the word "YUAN" in bold serif lettering. The upper arc carries the bank title "BANK OF CHINA" with the promise-to-pay legend below it, while the lower portion states the place and date "SHANGHAI 1924" in red, with the serial number repeated in red at each lower corner and the imprint "AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY" at the foot. |
