Mô tả mặt sau The reverse bears the opening line of a celebrated composition by Rabindranath Tagore, written in Bengali script and occupying the central field, followed by his autograph signature in Bengali. The issuing authority 'BANGLADESH BANK' and its Bengali equivalent 'বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক' are inscribed within the legend around the periphery. The quoted verse, penned by Tagore in 1941, reads 'হে নূতন, দেখা দিক আর-বার জন্মের প্রথম শুভক্ষণ', evoking a greeting to the new dawn. The overall layout is formal and literary in character, consistent with a commemorative proof issue.

Thông tin bổ sung

Issued to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, this coin presented Bangladesh with a small diplomatic nuance: Tagore was born in Calcutta, spent formative years at the family estate in Shelaidaha (now in Bangladesh), and wrote what became the national anthems of both Bangladesh and India — a fact that makes him an unusual shared cultural figure whose commemoration sits more comfortably in Dhaka than it might at first appear.
