The circular Latin legend surrounding the design reads F.EMMANVEL PINTO M.M.H.S.S. with the date 1761, distributed around the periphery. The coin exhibits a boldly struck, high-relief design characteristic of Maltese milled gold coinage of the mid-eighteenth century. The toothed border frames the entire composition. |
