正面描述	Printed in navy blue, bottle green, sky blue and pale green on machine-made paper, the obverse carries the Reserve Bank of India title across the top with the promise-to-pay text in English, along with guilloche underprint work providing ornamental background security. The denomination and issuer details are rendered in letterpress against a fine geometric underprint, with the King George VI watermark paper forming the substrate.

The denomination '10' appears in large numerals to the right within a decorative cartouche, while multilingual inscriptions of the denomination in various Indian scripts are arranged in a vertical panel to the left. 'TEN RUPEES' is lettered in bold across the lower margin.
