| 表面の説明 | Central field features the royal tughra (cipher) of Amanullah Khan enclosed within a circular wreath of wheat or laurel sprays, with the date in Eastern Arabic numerals (١٣٠٦) inscribed below the tughra. The Arabic legend افغانستان (Afghanistan) arcs across the upper portion of the coin above the central device. The overall design reflects the Ottoman-influenced calligraphic tradition adapted for Afghan royal coinage of the period. |

| 裏面の説明 | Central field displays the numeral ١٠ (10) in Eastern Arabic script within a plain raised circle, flanked on either side by symmetrical sprays of wheat or olive branches tied at the base. The Arabic inscription پول (Pul) appears in the upper portion of the coin above the central circle. The design is simple and utilitarian, characteristic of the small-denomination copper coinage issued under Amanullah Khan's monetary reform. |

Amanullah Khan's modernization drive in the mid-1920s included a wholesale restructuring of Afghanistan's coinage system, replacing the older paisa-based denominations with a decimal pul system formalized around 1923. These copper pieces were among the first fruits of that reform. The program was ambitious — arguably too ambitious. Amanullah's broader Westernization policies, including dress codes and curtailed purdah, provoked the Khost rebellion and ultimately the 1928–1929 uprising that forced his abdication.
Struck at Kabul, the dies show characteristically uneven workmanship common to the mint in this period.
