Opis awersu	The central vignette presents a large stylised rose in pink and yellow tones set against an elaborate foliate scrollwork underprint in olive-green, flanked on either side by tall fir trees. The denomination numeral '10' appears in the upper left and upper right corners in gold, with the issuer's name 'Osterode a. H.' inscribed on a decorative banner at the top. Vertical border text along the left margin states the redemption condition, while the lower margin carries a scroll ribbon inscribed with a German verse and a further line identifying the issuing agents Cafetier Waller and Buchhändler Schlösser.

Opis rewersu	The central vignette presents a tall ruined castle keep — the Burgfried — rendered in warm ochre and brown tones against a pale blue and yellow sky, occupying nearly the full height of the note. The denomination '10 Pfennig' is inscribed in black Gothic letterpress at the upper left. A salmon-pink border band at the top carries a Low German verse in Gothic script, with a second verse band along the bottom margin.
