The largest vessel dominates the right half of the design, its billowing sails and rigging rendered in precise detail. The exclamatory legend ¡TIERRA, TIERRA! arcs along the upper border, with V CENTENARIO inscribed below it in the upper field, and the year 1989 appears to the left of the ships.
