Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield quartered with a golden key between two landmasses above blue and white stripes, a royal palm in the lower right canton, and a rising sun at the top; the shield is surmounted by a Phrygian cap bearing a star and flanked by an oak branch to the left and a laurel branch to the right, bound at the base. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 10 PESOS appears in the lower exergue. The fineness and metal designations 20G and AG 0.999 are inscribed in the left and right fields respectively, flanking the arms.
