| Obverse description | The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield quartered with a golden key between two landmasses above blue and white stripes, a royal palm in the lower right canton, and a rising sun at the top; the shield is surmounted by a Phrygian cap bearing a star and flanked by an oak branch to the left and a laurel branch to the right, bound at the base. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 10 PESOS appears in the lower exergue.
