Beschrijving voorzijde A central intaglio vignette portrays a mounted charro on horseback herding cattle across an open pastoral landscape, rendered in fine line engraving with a dark blue-black ink on a cream ground. Large guilloche rosettes bearing the numeral '10' flank the vignette on either side, with orange and blue underprint elements adding chromatic contrast. The bank title arches across the top in bold letterpress, while the denomination 'DIEZ PESOS / VALOR ORO NACIONAL' appears in a decorative panel at the foot of the note, above a ruled signature area with three printed role designations.

(Translation: THE STATE BANK OF CHIHUAHUA / Series A / Will pay the bearer in cash according to the decree of December 12, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen. / Ten Pesos / National gold value / Chihuahua, Mexico. / Government Inspector / Cashier / Manager / American Bank Note Co. New York.)
Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse is printed entirely in orange-brown on cream paper and centers on a circular vignette of the Mexican national coat of arms — an eagle perched on a cactus with a serpent in its beak, surrounded by a laurel wreath — enclosed within a beaded medallion. Large numeral '10' counters in guilloche rosettes occupy the left and right fields, with elaborate scrollwork and lathe-work borders filling the remaining space. The bank name is split across two letterpress panels, 'BANCO DEL' at the top and 'ESTADO DE CHIHUAHUA' at the foot, with the printer's imprint 'AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY, NEW YORK.' at the very bottom.
