This note falls squarely in that transitional period, when Buenos Aires still jealously maintained its own fiscal machinery.

ABNC's involvement was typical for major Latin American issuers of the period seeking engraved security printing beyond what local facilities could provide. The PS prefix in the Pick catalogue indicates this is a state-chartered or provincial issue rather than a national bank series.
