| Description de l’avers | Facing bust of Emperor Mauricius Tiberius, shown in three-quarter view, wearing an imperial crown surmounted by a cross and adorned with pendilia, and draped in consular or military attire. The emperor holds a mappa or globus in one hand, rendered in the characteristic flat, stylized manner of late Byzantine minor coinage. A partially visible Greek legend surrounds the effigy in the field, though heavily worn and only fragmentarily legible on this specimen. The flan is irregular, as is typical of hammered copper issues from the Antioch mint of this period. |

| Description du revers | Central field occupied by a large decanummium mark comprising the Greek numeral I (ten) set within or above a cross potent, flanked by decorative elements in the field. To the right, the letter S (or epsilon) is visible as a secondary mark. The inscription ANNO appears in the upper field, with the regnal year numeral U (indicating the 5th year of reign) below or adjacent, conforming to standard Byzantine dating practice of this period. The mint mark for Antioch (P or its Greek equivalent) is present in the exergue or lower field, consistent with issues from the Theoupolis mint. |
