The denomination "Zehn Mark" is rendered in large Gothic blackletter script across the centre, with the numeral 10 in each upper corner. At the top, the inscription "Notgeld der Handelskammer des Memelgebiets" appears in blackletter type, and below the denomination a clause reads "Ungültig 3 Monate nach Abruf". The lower portion carries a bilingual authorisation text in German and French, dated 22 February 1922, referencing the High Commissioner of the Allied Powers, accompanied by multiple manuscript signatures and a serial number. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is printed in olive-green, brown, and grey tones and divided into three pictorial vignettes framed by a leafy border with the numeral 10 and the legend "Mark" in each lower corner. The central, dominant vignette portrays the Memel lighthouse (labelled "Leuchtturm") with waves breaking against its pier; a couple in regional folk dress occupies the left vignette, while a figure standing on a harbour jetty gazes out to sea in the right vignette. A ribbon cartouche at the top carries the name "Memel", and below the central scene the text "Notgeld der Handelskammer" appears in Gothic script, with the printer's imprint "GEBR. PARCUS MÜNCHEN" at the foot. |
