Obverse description The obverse is printed in olive-green and grey tones on paper with a fine guilloche underprint. The denomination "Zehn Mark" is rendered in large Gothic blackletter script across the centre, with the numeral 10 in each upper corner. At the top, the inscription "Notgeld der Handelskammer des Memelgebiets" appears in blackletter type, and below the denomination a clause reads "Ungültig 3 Monate nach Abruf". The lower portion carries a bilingual authorisation text in German and French, dated 22 February 1922, referencing the High Commissioner of the Allied Powers, accompanied by multiple manuscript signatures and a serial number.
