| 正面描述 | A typeset Notgeld voucher printed in dark blue on white paper with a pink underprint wash at right. The denomination '10 Heller Gutschein' is set in large blackletter type across the upper field, enclosed within a decorative border of dash-and-lozenge ornaments. A central text block in smaller blackletter script states the redemption conditions, followed by a small ornamental vignette divider, and the issuer inscription 'Modewarenhaus Alois Roth in St. Pölten' in bold blackletter along the lower field. The printer's imprint 'Druck: Rosenberg, St. Pölten' appears in small type at the lower left margin. |

| 备注 |
A product of Austria's Notgeld wave, this Roth department store voucher was issued when small-change shortages had become severe enough that private retailers printed their own fractional currency. Modewarenhaus Alois Roth — a fashion and dry goods house in St. Pölten — had these printed locally at Rosenberg, keeping both cost and turnaround time low. The Jaksc reference confirms provincial Austrian private issue classification, distinct from the municipal Notgeld series running concurrently in the same town.
Retailer-issued Heller notes like this one were typically redeemable only at the issuing shop, which sharply limited their circulation range and explains the high survival rate relative to municipal issues.
