The left half features a relief map of the European Union with country outlines rendered in fine detail against a frosted background. The right half displays a polished mirror field bearing the denomination '10 EURO' in bold incuse lettering, encircled by twelve five-pointed stars arranged in the arc of the European Union emblem. The trilingual legend 'BELGIQUE BELGIE BELGIEN' runs along the outer border, with the engraver's initials 'qp' appearing in the lower right field. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse depicts a phoenix with wings dramatically outstretched, rising triumphantly from stylised flames rendered in high relief at the centre of the field. Behind the bird, a radiant sun disc emits bold rays extending toward the upper rim, evoking renewal and hope. Flanking the central motif on either side are vertical staffs bearing flags, with soldiers faintly visible in the background, referencing the military context of the armistice. The commemorative dates '1945' and '2005' are incused to the left and right of the phoenix respectively, marking the sixtieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War. |
