| Obverse description | The obverse features the coat of arms of Sierra Leone prominently displayed in the centre of the field, depicting two lions rampant as supporters flanking a shield charged with three torches, with two palm trees rising behind the shield. A ribbon scroll below the shield bears the national motto UNITY FREEDOM JUSTICE.
