Obverse description Central device depicts Sir Francis Drake's galleon Golden Hind under full sail, rendered in fine relief upon a mirror-polished field. The denomination numerals '10' flank the vessel to left and right at mid-field, with the written legend 'TEN DOLLARS' arching above the ship. The circular legend 'EAST CARIBBEAN TERRITORIES' runs along the upper periphery, while the date '1980' appears in the lower exergue, flanked by two raised pellets on each side. The coin is struck to proof standard with sharply defined rigging and hull detail.
