| 正面描述 | Central square perforation surrounded by a raised square inner rim, with four Chinese characters in clerical script disposed in the four quadrants, read in the traditional order top-to-bottom and right-to-left to render the reign title and era name 永隆通寶 (Yonglong Tongbao). The characters are boldly cast in high relief against a flat field. A raised outer rim borders the coin. The surfaces show heavy iron patination with areas of gold-toned encrustation consistent with long burial. |

The Min Kingdom, centered in Fujian province, was one of the Ten Kingdoms that fragmented China following the collapse of the Tang dynasty. Its monetary output in iron rather than bronze reflects both the chronic copper shortages endemic to Fujian and the kingdom's commercial isolation from the northern states. Min collapsed in 945 when the Southern Tang invaded and absorbed the territory, making the entire reign of Yonglong — the era name of Wang Yanzheng — a window of just a few years before the kingdom ceased to exist entirely.
