Aanvullende informatie

Bảo Đại, the last emperor of the Nguyễn dynasty, reigned under French oversight as a largely ceremonial figure, and his cash coins were issued within that constrained authority. The square-holed cash form was already archaic by the 1930s — Vietnam's French colonial administration had long since introduced decimal coinage — making this series a deliberate act of dynastic continuity rather than practical currency.

Production spanned multiple varieties, hence the four Barker subtype designations, differing in calligraphic style and casting quality across the issue's run.
