The legend ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA arcs around the upper periphery, while the denomination 10000 KČ appears at the base of the design. The founding date 1348 and the year of issue 1998 are inscribed within the lower portion of the shield composition. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |

Flanking the portrait are two large circular seals rendered in fine detail: to the left, the seal of Charles IV as Margrave of Moravia showing an armored equestrian figure, and to the right, the foundation seal of Prague's New Town bearing a stylized cityscape with Gothic spires.
