A five-line letterpress text in German authorises payment by the municipal and district treasuries of Dortmund and Hörde, followed by the issuing authority line "Der Magistrat der Stadt Dortmund", with two manuscript signatures flanking the central rosette; the issue place and date "DORTMUND * AM 1. SEPTEMBER 1923" appear in a rectangular cartouche at the foot, and a six-digit serial number is printed in the upper left corner. |

At centre, a circular vignette contains the Prussian eagle, encircled by the legend "MARK 10000000 STADT DORTMUND", flanked symmetrically by two stylised eagle motifs in an Art Deco arrangement. A three-line authorisation text in German at the foot references the Reichsminister der Finanzen and the Reichsgesetz of 17 July 1923, with a note that the Schein becomes invalid one month after public recall. |
