| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in brown, ochre, and green tones, with a bold Fraktur-script vignette arc reading "Zehn Millionen Mark" across the upper portion, beneath which a stylised fan-shaped floral underprint in green radiates from a central guilloche rosette. A five-line letterpress text in German authorises payment by the municipal and district treasuries of Dortmund and Hörde, followed by the issuing authority line "Der Magistrat der Stadt Dortmund", with two manuscript signatures flanking the central rosette; the issue place and date "DORTMUND * AM 1. SEPTEMBER 1923" appear in a rectangular cartouche at the foot, and a six-digit serial number is printed in the upper left corner. |
