Reverse description The reverse presents bold Nastaliq Arabic calligraphy filling the central field, arranged in multiple registers and recording the mint name and regnal year. An outer border of large raised pellets (beaded border) encircles the entire design, a hallmark feature of Qajar coinage struck at provincial mints. The inscription identifies the Rasht mint (Dar al-Marz Rasht) and the AH date 1279, corresponding to 1862 CE. Decorative pellet clusters are scattered within the field, enhancing the ornamental character of the design consistent with the minting style of the Rasht facility.
