| 正面描述 | Draped bust of a ruler facing right, rendered in a stylized, late antique manner characteristic of Lombard-period coinage. The effigy displays a diademed or helmeted head with visible facial features, surrounded by a beaded border. A partial Latin legend runs around the periphery, reading [...] NI - VIHOVS, the letters unevenly spaced and partially degenerate, reflecting local workshop execution. The bust is depicted with simplified drapery at the shoulder, consistent with pseudo-imperial tremissis iconography of the period. |

Issued under the Lombard duchy of Tuscany during the late seventh century, these tremisses were struck in close imitation of Byzantine prototypes — a deliberate policy that kept them acceptable in Mediterranean trade circuits where Byzantine gold set the standard. The Lombard kingdoms never fully abandoned this mimicry, even as their political independence from Constantinople hardened.
The "cf." qualifications against Arslan and the BMC Vandal reference signal that this piece sits near but not squarely within established die groupings — not unusual for Lombard provincial issues, where die cutting was decentralized and local variations proliferate just enough to frustrate clean attribution.
