| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central medallion depicting Saint Martin of Tours on horseback, armed with a sword raised in his right hand, dividing his cloak with a kneeling beggar prostrate beneath the horse's hooves, rendered in high-relief Baroque style. Surrounding the central scene, a broad border of the field is densely populated with twelve cartouche-framed armorial shields of the cathedral canons of Mainz, arranged in a continuous wreath around the circumference. The shields are variously quartered and charged, each set within ornate Baroque scrollwork cartouches. No external legend is present on this face. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field bears the arms of the Archbishopric of Mainz — a horizontally striped (barry) escutcheon surmounted by an episcopal hat — displayed within an elaborate Baroque cartouche. A circular legend surrounding the central shield reads CAPITUL: METROP: MOGUNT, with the date 1743 inscribed below the shield within the legend circle. At the lower portion of the field, a separate cartouche contains the two-line inscription SEDE VACANTE, denoting the vacancy of the archiepiscopal see. The broad outer border mirrors the obverse, filled with twelve armorial shields of the cathedral chapter canons set within ornate scrollwork cartouches arranged around the entire circumference. |
