| Obverse description | Central shield bearing the quartered arms of Salzburg impaled with the personal arms of Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau, surmounted by an archiepiscopal hat with pendant tassels, all within a beaded inner circle. The legend, in Latin, commences at approximately 2 o'clock and reads around the outer border. The legend is divided in the lower field between the abbreviations AR and EPS, denoting Archiepiscopus. |

| Reverse description | Saint Rupert (Sanctus Rudbertus), patron saint of Salzburg, depicted in three-quarter view facing left, seated upon an ornate episcopal throne and attired in full pontifical vestments including cope and pallium. He holds a salt box in his right hand and a crozier in his left, attributes referencing both his episcopal office and the salt trade central to Salzburg's wealth. The archiepiscopal mitre divides the legend at the top of the coin. The countermark '16S81', applied by the mint of Salzburg, appears prominently in the reverse field, with the legend commencing at approximately 1 o'clock. |
