The surrounding Latin legend denotes the coin's fineness and weight standard, with the date 1764 and mintmaster's initials I.C.E. incorporated at the conclusion of the legend. The overall reverse composition is characteristic of mid-eighteenth-century German Thaler coinage, with rich decorative detail in the frame and shield design. |
